They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. If you need an idea for a great dad gift, look no further that what your dad likes to eat or drink.
The cool thing about gift of the month clubs is that they keep on coming. Your dad gets more than one opportunity to feel special and loved.
I’ve been in several gift of the month clubs. It depends on the club, but usually you get a variety of items in each shipment. For instance, if you are in the cheese of the month club, I received a monthly selection of 3-4 different cheeses. Usually they were varieties that I had never heard of before. Fortunately, each shipment was accompanied by a newsletter explaining a little bit of the history and also how to taste/appreciate each item. I gained a new appreciation of cheese as well as a more sophisticated taste for different varieties.
I’ve also tested a few of these Month Clubs on my father over the years. In all cases they were tremendously successful gifts. He loves loves them. I’m sure your dad will too.
Here are my choices for the best gift of the month clubs for dads.

I previously provided two simple rules for good Dad gift ideas. While wandering through the hardware store today, it occurred to me that there is another useful rule when it comes to choosing dad Gift.
So I would like to add one more rule for never-fail dad gift ideas.
Here it is:
Anything that involves electricity, fire, sharp things, projectiles, or saving money can make an excellent dad gift. The best gifts include a combination of two or more of the above.
Let’s take a look at each one:
Electricity:
Electricity means power and often indicated high-tech. Examples involving electricity include: Plasma TVs, iPads, Power Tools, etc.
Fire:
What guy isn’t fascinated by fire? Two interesting dad gift ideas include a new grill, BBQ, or a patio fire pit.
Sharp Things:
Walk around a hardware store and you’ll find lots of sharp things that could make an excellent dad gift. Your Dad would probably love a reciprocating saw, an electric lawn mower, a saws-all, or my favorite… the Alligator
Projectiles:
They key here is to tap into your Dad’s inner child. I feel compelled to list this category because next to fire and sharp things, what guy didn’t group up fascinated by things involving projectiles. My definition of a projectile is pretty loose. You don’t have to restrict your self to things involving weapons. A nail gun would count. So would most sports related equipment involving things flying through the air. Think golf clubs, tennis, baseball, etc.
Saving Money:
Most Dads that I know, including myself, are usually very frugal and enjoy saving money, especially on big purchases. I’m always looking for ways I can do something myself or reduce household expenses. You can find one way that I like to save on household expenses here.
Are you having a tough time coming up with good dad gift? This year, don’t buy your dad another useless gift. Believe me, he already has all that he needs. Buy him something he can use and enjoy for years to come.
In this article, I’ll show you how to find great dad gift ideas.
People complain that it is difficult to come up with good gift ideas for Dad. But it is really quite easy. I’ll share a really simple strategy that you can use to find the perfect gift to make your dad happy this year.
Why am I writing this? Because I’m a dad. I love my wife and I love my family. But over the years, I’ve received some really useless gifts from them. I hold on to them because they came from my family. Eventually, though, I will find a way to discretely donate them to Goodwill. I have a busy job, a family to support, and crowded house full of kids to look after. The last thing I need is any more junk.
So I am taking the time to write this article to share a very simple strategy with you. It is a set of simple criteria for coming up with great dad gift ideas that I wish everyone could learn. You can use this for choosing any dad gift, whether it is for his birthday, Christmas, or anniversary. It should also equally apply to just about any guy regardless of whether he is a father or not.
Here is my simple criteria for ideal dad gifts:
Dad Gift Criteria #1:
The gift should help your dad have fun and to better enjoy the activities that he already enjoys.
Or…
Dad Gift Criteria #2:
The gift should help your dad accomplish tasks he doesn’t enjoy, but in an easier or faster way.
That’s all there is to it.
So let’s analyze this a little further. Say, for example your dad loves watching sports. A great dad gift would be a new 50 inch plasma TV. Yes, I know this is an expensive example, but you want to make him happy, right? Seriously though, why is it a good dad gift? It helps him enjoy one of his favorite activities (watching sports) in a new and improved way.
Examples of a not so great dad dad gifts would be a football shaped telephone or other sports novelty gift. Sure it is sports related. It is also funny for about 10 seconds. But it doesn’t do anything to help your dad enjoy watching sports. In all probability, it will end up in his office, unused, and taking up valuable space for several years before he gives it to Goodwill.
Now for another example. Let’s say your dad loves fishing. There are lots of great gift possibilities here. He would love anything from a new fishing pole, lures, a tackle box, sun glasses, hat, vest, to a guided fishing trip.
If he loves fishing, a poor dad gift would be one of those singing fish animated wall plaques. Yes, it is fish related. But again, this is an example of a cheap novelty gift that does nothing to help him accomplish his hobbies or tasks.
What about tasks he doesn’t enjoy? The same criteria also applies. Does he hate cleaning up the yard or doing household repairs? A new power tool should make him happy. Every man loves power tools. Power tools not only make a lot of noise, they also give a man the power to build and destroy. What could be more fun than that?
The one thing that these gifts have in common is that they are tools in some form. They are tools in the sense that they let your dad accomplish the various tasks in his life. Whether it for watching sports, fishing, or cutting up branches in the backyard, the best dad gift will help him enjoy his hobbies or to accomplish his other tasks in a faster or easier way.
This year, give your dad a gift he will treasure for years to come.
Hi. This site is all about finding that perfect, special, elusive Dad Gift that your Dad will not only love, but also use and enjoy. More information coming soon!
